"Leaf" Moccasins / Custom-Made Barefoot-Shoes

The "Leaf" Moccasin is made of two pieces of leather (top and bottom) and does not have any soles at first. Once your footprint can be seen under the shoes, you'll have to add them yourself or send them back to us or even ask a shoemaker close by. That requires walking outside for at least  two weeks with them right on the leather.

Despite being closed shoes, their 100% leather construction provides excellent breathability and temperature control. 

These shoes are water-resistant (not waterproof) and can be worn both indoors and outdoors; however, they are not recommended for cold and wet weather. In all cases, they will benefit from a regular coat of leather treatment.

I use soft bull-calf leather that is 2 mm thick and incredibly durable. You should be able to walk in them for several months to two years (outdoors) before you need to add the soles. Depending on how and where you wear them. The rubber crepe has a longer lifespan (refer to my tutorial on the technique for creating a sole and the additional leather required for the sole).

In rough terrain, resoles are usually needed one to three times a year if you wear them outside a lot. A pair can be resoled as often as necessary over time, and with proper care, they can last for many years. 

If you only use them inside, they could last for decades.

I will ask you for a few measurements, a scan of your foot's outline, and a few photos because every person has different feet. This will let me get them as close to your feet as possible, making them feel like second skin. The leather will also slightly stretch to ensure a perfect fit within the first week of wearing them.
